Rainbows End gives visitors to the Garden Route an unforgettable experience of exclusivity, privacy and unsurpassed vistas. Located at the entrance to the Knysna Lagoon, Rainbows End is perched on the edge of the Western Head.
Here you witness the interaction between the Lagoon and the surge of seawater from the Indian Ocean as it makes its way to and through the mighty headlands known as the Knysna Heads the grand sandstone cliffs towering above the entrance to the Knysna Lagoon.
Enjoy the remarkable experience of watching both the sun and moon rising and setting over the Indian ocean. Share the natural habitat of bushbuck and blue duiker as they roam in the pristine surroundings. Witness the freedom of an array of seabirds as they glide using only the air current. Stroll down to your own private bay, or just relax on one of the decks.
The entrance level of Rainbows End consists of two en-suite bedrooms. Both have beautiful views, sliding doors on to a private patio, and bathrooms with showers. One room has a Queen size bed and the other twin beds. There is also a coffee station outside the two bedrooms, making this a self-contained suite of rooms.
The upper level houses spacious open-plan living areas perfect for relaxed socialising. There are views on all sides and doors opening on to a wrap around balcony. This level also accommodates the extremely spacious main bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The views from this bedroom are truly breathtaking making it difficult to tear yourself away from the comfortable private space.
There is a study next to the main bedroom and an enclosed TV lounge with a double sleeper couch that can accommodate two people. The guest bathroom next to this lounge does not have a shower or bath so those utilising the sleeper couch will need to share the bathroom in the main bedroom. This would work well for parents and children.
The living areas consist of a TV lounge with a wood fire for those chilly evenings, a fully equipped kitchen that flows easily to the dining room with a table seating up to 8 people and the lounge overlooking the ocean. There is an enclosed barbecue room to one side with doors that fold right back on summery days and nights. There is plenty of space for wonderful al fresco dining in this space perfect for soaking up the sun. There is another sun lounge on the other side of the villa so no matter the weather you can always find the perfect entertainment and relaxation area.
The villa is set in stunning natural surroundings that are begging to be explored. So whether you would like to take a gentle stroll around the property, a more energetic hike on the cliff, or just soak in the incredible views, this is the perfect retreat along the Garden Route.
